Held on the second full weekend in October, this event offers three days of activities, entertainment, farm tours, and fall fun. Come and observe the mountain forests of the Virginia’s Western Highlands transformed into a rich palette of russet, gold, and scarlet. Explore local farms, purchase handmade items from crafters and artists, enjoy free live entertainment, browse local shops, and explore some our local Maple Sugar camps in the “off-season”!

Rock Roadhouse Winery at Hands & Harvest Festival
The Highland Center is pleased to announce that the Maple Tap Room will also include wines from the Rock Roadhouse Winery of Hot Springs, VA. A variety of wines will be available and served by vineyard manager and assistant winemaker, Lee Church. Rock Roadhouse Winery makes only “Natural Wine” with techniques & methods similar to those used by ancient Roman wine makers. Their pledge: “No Chemicals, No Additives, No Sugars ever added to our wines!! No Sulfites for Bio-protection during harvest through the first 120 days of winemaking. Only ‘Alpha’ yeast bio-protection like that used by Greeks & Romans.”
