3rd Annual Chili Cook Off
The Highland Center's 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off
will be held on Saturday, January 18 starting at 5pm. The event will include unlimited chili tasting and a cash bar.
The admission fee to come taste and enjoy is $10 per adult and $5 for kids 12 and under. Proceeds from the event support Highland Center programs.

There is NO FEE for for chili cooks and $450 in cash prizes
(1st prize - $200, 2nd - $150, 3rd - $100) will be awarded in each of the following categories: Spicy Chili, Mild Chili, White Chili.
Furthermore, 3 special prizes will be awarded for the following: the people's favorite, best presentation/tablescape, best toppings. This adds up to over $1,400 in prizes!

Chili Competition Guidelines:

We recommend that each contestant bring two crock pots of chili.

Chili must be cooked to above165 degrees and maintained at a temperature above 140 for safety. We recommend bringing and serving in crock pots.

All ingredients in your chili must be listed and clearly visible on your table

You must provide any chili toppings or sides that you think are necessary

Each contestant can bring along one helper.

Give your chili a fun name. Get in the fall and chili spirit and decorate your table.

Other Information:

There is no entry fee for chili cooks but registration is required.

Contestants are responsible for supplying their own crock pots, table decorations, and toppings.

The Highland Center will provide access to electricity and one table per registrant.

The Highland Center will provide spoons, napkins, and sample cups.

The building will open at 3pm and contestants should be setup and ready to serve starting promptly at 5pm.

Prizes will be awarded in cash before the end of the evening.
