Preschoolers Plant Potatoes

This week The Highland Center’s Local Foods Coordinator Jessa Fowler brought twelve preschoolers to Allegheny Mountain School. The preschoolers have been learning about plants and growing food in school and planted peas in their classroom earlier this spring. On the field trip to Allegheny Mountain School, they had a chance to see growing food at a larger scale, investigate a variety of spring crops, and chase chickens!
