Hands and Harvest Happenings -Fall weather is once again upon us, and that means it’s time for the Hands and Harvest Festival, and a full slate of activities at The Highland Center!

October 5-7

Farmers’ Market at the Pavilion

Fri. 12-5, Sat. 9-5, Sun. 11-5

Local meat and seasonal produce, baked goods, pumpkins, gourds, woodwork, jewelry, crafts, and more!

Inside the Center

  • SPCA Annual Sweater Sale
  • Artists’ Studios, Visitor Center

Scheduled vendors include: 

– Lee Mitchell –  seasonal produce, woodcrafts

– Bruce Folks – Maple Syrup, fudge, baked goods, seasonal produce, mums, pumpkins, gourds

– Church Hill Produce (Friday and Saturday) – Seasonal produce. pumpkins and gourds

– Mountain Pastures (Friday) – Homemade lotion and lip balm

– Sarah Ricketts (Friday) – Cupcakes, baked goods, flowers, eggs

– Riven Rock Farm – USDA inspected grass finished beef – premium cuts and ground beef, eggs, honey

– Thorny Bottom Bees ( Friday and Saturday) – Honey – liquid and comb

 – Especially For You (Donna Gardner)  Custom made jewelery and ornaments

– Diamond Triple C Ranch (Sunday) – alpaca wool and wool products – live alpacas!

– Blue Roof Caterers  Jams and jellies

 – Mountain Oasis (Saturday) – Homemade bread, desserts and baked goods

– Artisan World Crafts – (Saturday and Sunday) – handmade crafts and jewelery made with items from around the world

– Summer Cohen – Baked goods and crafts

– Susan Glendinning (Saturday and Sunday) – dried flower arrangements, seasonal produce, pumpkins, gourds

– Walter Davis (Saturday) – birdhouses and woodcrafts

– Love Light’s Jewelery Design – hand beaded jewelry, crystal and czech glass beads, rings, bracelets, earrings

– Ginseng Mountain Store – Jerry’s Grilling Marinade

– Virginia Trout Company – Allegheny mountain trout fillets
