Another Day of Invasive Removal

At the beginning of September, the Phase I Follows from Allegheny Mountain School and I spent another day on the future Community Park property.  We specifically worked on removing Autumn Olive. It was a little more complicated than the cutting and clearing that we completed back in June.

The Fellows worked at cutting down the large shrubs and I followed behind applying an herbicide to the cut trunks.

(I got to wear a Tyvek suit on one of the warmest days of the summer!)

By the end of the day we had a huge pile of cut material and a lot less Autumn Olive growing the meadow.
